JORDAN ELIZABETH GELBER
After working in the fashion industry for over a year without having the chance to grow, Starbaby Enterprises' CEO & Founder, Jordan Elizabeth Gelber felt demotivated, unfulfilled, and unhappy.
A performer and creative individual herself, she saw how many of her friends and colleagues were unable to succeed because they didn't know how to break into their desired industries. With so much information out there, she saw how many of her peers were overwhelmed and confused by the market. Also, when they found help, it seemed that their artistic goals were contiunously overlooked.
This inspired Jordan to develope a company that merged her love of business and creativity.
Prior to launching Starbaby Enterprises, Jordan graduated from Marymount Manhattan College in 2010 with a B.A in Communication Arts & Graphic Design. The tools she acquried from her academic career encouraged her to become a freelance graphic designer and marketing consultant for many years. Her designs were focused on music merchandising, layouts, management consulting and fashion marketing. She also had national advertisements running in Manhattan Magazine and Seventeen Prom.
This is where her love for beauty and fashion began as she designed many catalogues for local designers including Lautrec, Feriani Couture, and Janique. Her new found talents in Fashion Marketing and networking, lead her to become a Marketing Director for a fashion start up in New York City. Through all her experiences and success, she parted from her corporate job and launched Starbaby Enterprises in the Summer of 2013 with the launch of the highly successful Janique Fashion Week.
